Hey Everyone Hope all is well! According to the EA website… (LINK) They have teamed up with Disney and are now the people in charge of making any Star Wars game from now on. And it makes me wonder… is that was the ultimate plan that Disney intended to do ever since they shut down LucasArts? In any case its good news for gamers and Star Wars fans all around. Hopefully EA doesn’t disappoint.

Stay Rockin’

Sigh, I was driving back to Riverside after an AWESOME game night thingy with Courtney, Shaun, and Monique. I was just driving along in my lane with cruise control on, going 65 until BAM! Some car hits me from behind. Then all of a sudden, my car starts spinning. I have no idea how many times it spun, but when the cops asked, I said only once. Now that I think about it though, I feel like it was twice, maybe 3 times, not sure. Luckily, I wasn’t hit by another car while I was spinning out. During that spinning out, I was trying to hit the breaks, but I couldn’t, because I panicked and my left foot just kept stomping in hopes of getting lucky, no dice, btw. Anyway, while I was spinning, I also somehow was able to “control” it as the cops said, and my car ended up facing the right direction on the side. While that was happening though, I was actually afraid of flipping over. In fact, right before my foot found the break, I was right in front of this hill like thing that goes up, so if I hadn’t found the break, I might actually have flipped over.

In any case, my car was relatively fine, and once it stopped, I turned the hazards on and stepped out. The other driver stepped out as well and asked if I was alright, I said yeah, and he said that he was fine as well. His car wasn’t so lucky because there was extensive damage to it and it was unable to be moved. He said he spun out as well. His stopped in the way of the on ramp, so I tried helping him to push his car out of the way. However, he, his passenger, and I were unable to move it. The wheels were locked, and his engine wouldn’t start either. I asked him, what had happened and he said that he got distracted and didn’t see me.

While we were trading insurance information and stuff, the police came. The first thing they did was try to move the car, to no avail as well. In the end, they forced it out of the way by pushing it from behind with the squad car. I didn’t know they had such power. Afterward, they split us up and took each of our statements and then told me to wait in the car.

When I got the green light to call people, I called my parents. I called my dad’s cell phone, no answer. I called the house phone, also no answer. Not only was there no answer, the answering machine didn’t go off, even after at least 8 rings. So I decided to call the other house phone. They didn’t answer, so I left a message there. I left about a two minute long message until someone finally answered. I told them what had happened, and then told them I was driving back to Riverside again.

The aftermath: On my drive to Riverside, I drove even slower than 65, just for fear of anything happening. Not only did I drive slowly, I even feared other cars passing me, because of what had just happened. At one point, a car going extremely fast passed me on the right side and I even jumped when it zoomed past.

Lesson learned: when driving, even if the roads are relatively empty, and you’re driving safely, others are not, so pay attention to everywhere around you. I did not see him at all, possibly because I was too focused on what was in front of me.

Cons: Another accident on my record. <.< Hopefully, everyone who is investigating doesn’t find me at fault, because I honestly don’t believe that I was. Plus, insurance would drop me from their services, and that would be even worse. Then there was the fact that my dad had just cleaned the car the day prior, so all that work now means nothing.

Pros: Officially, there should be no pros in this situation, however, I have to confess something. First, seeing the cop car push the other car away, even though its wheels were locked was quite interesting. The real confession though, is that while I was spinning out thing was fun. My time playing Grand Theft Auto and getting into multiple accidents had prepared me, apparently. I was spinning, and while it was, I saw the divider and the wall, and was just moving the wheel like how I thought it needed to be. GTA, and a scene from One Tree Hill came to mind right after it happened. It was the scene where Nathan was in a racing car and crashed his car. They were saying that Nathan should have the reflexes to be able to stop his car from hitting the wall, and I felt like someone should be saying that about me. My point is that I actually thought that part was fun. Of course, the adrenaline from danger can’t be reproduced, but if I was in a car game in an arcade or something, I think I’d have fun with it. And it made me realize even more how awesome being a stunt driver would be. Naturally, I don’t want to be put into that situation again, unless it’s under some “controlled” circumstances.
